A very fine Victorian silver gilt and cut ruby glass double ended scent bottle complete in its original case, hallmarked for silver maker George Brace.

One end of the scent bottle has a sprung hinged cap by Austin's of Dublin, Ireland (1827-1891), engraved with a monogram 'LM' and the inside having a glazed aperture within which sits a small photograph of a gentleman in uniform. The other end has a screw cap engraved 'Lillie'.

The scent bottle sits within its original brass hinged fitted leather case, the silk lined interior with retailer name 'Martin & Co of Cheltenham' in gilt lettering. The case bears a label which reads 'Left me by Lillie Allen 1918'.

The bottle and case remain in a wholly untouched original condition, save the display label to the bottle.
