A sterling silver pocket watch with original winding key, fully hallmarked with 'WHS' for William Henry Sparrow, '.925', the London import mark and London date stamp for 1919.
William Henry Sparrow was an importer of gold and silver watches, frequently from Switzerland. Most Swiss movements of this time were unsigned, as is the case with this example.
The watch has a key wound movement which is working nicely. The watch glass, enamel dial and movement are all in a lovely condition. The silver shows some rubbing to the back around the cartouche, but is otherwise also in a very good condition.
