A ruby glass and sterling silver double ended scent bottle, c.1890-1900.
The silver is not hallmarked (as is often the case with scent bottles of this age), but both lids and rims have tested as sterling silver. The lids show some minor denting consistent with age but remain in a very good condition with function hinge and screw top mechanisms operating with ease.
The ruby glass boasts an unusual but very attractive triangular cut which gives a twisting effect. The glass bears some minor chips and scratches (please see photographs) but is free from cracks and is a good condition overall.
