An attractive mid-20th century plaster composition depicting The Charioteer of Delphi. The label verso identifies the piece as having been part of Viv Hendra's (1951-2021) art collection. Viv Hendra was the Principal of the Lander Gallery, Truro and was an avid art collector.
The composition is very well cast, with excellent attention to detail and an accurate use of colour. The whole is mounted upon a wooden plinth. There are some light signs of wear commensurate with age but generally the piece remains in a very good condition throughout.
