A pair of scarce late 20th century bronze Victorian-style bat wall sconces after the original design by William Tonks & Sons for Liberty's, designed at the Keswick School of Industrial Arts.
Both sconces are very well made and crisply cast from the original design. The design registration number is present to the back of each sconce. Both scones have one small sympathetic repair to the branch held by the bat's mouth (please see photographs). Generally both sconces remain in a very good attractive condition.
A definite talking piece.
