A pair of fine 19th century French gilt ormolu figural candelabra, c.1880.
Each candelabra has four candle holders in the form of flowers amongst foliate branches depicting leaves and further flowers, held by a fine classical maiden figure in flowing garments, all above a white onyx baluster plinth banded with rope twist gilt ormolu and octagonal base.
There is some wear commensurate with age, namely the central nectar stems to some of the flowers are absent and there is a small chip to the rear of one of the plinths (please see photographs). The figure with the small chip to the base rotates in its plinth whilst the other remains candelabra remains fixed. Both candelabras remain strong and stable.
An extremely attractive pair.
