A wonderful stoneware wally bird stoneware jar and cover, c. late 20th century. Unmarked.
The jar is in the form of an anthropomorphic bird wearing a waistcoat and tie, with the cover being in the form of the bird's head with a closed puffy eyes and an extremely large curved beak.
The whole remains in an excellent condition throughout with no chips or cracks.
A really fun, great looking piece.
