Octavo. The boards are beautifully bound in tan leather with gilt borders. The boards show some rubbing to the extremities in areas but are firmly attached and are in a very good condition overall. The spines boast further gilt stamped decoration, five raised bands, black leather title panels and maroon leather volume panels.
Marbled page edges and endpapers. Ink inscription to front flyleaf from Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe, dated 1881. All remaining pages are clean and bright.
