This is 'Greater Britain: A Record of Travel In English-Speaking Countries' by Sir Charle Dilke, published by Macmillan & Co, London in 1885.
Octavo. The volume is bound in tan calf leather prize binding with gilt stamped decoration to the front board, board edges and spine. The spine boasts five raised bands and a brown leather title panel.
The volume shows shelf wear to the board and spine extremities (particularly to the top of the spine) and there is some fading to the spine leather. The binding and boards remain tight.
Internally, there is a marbled pastedown and an old inscription to the front endpaper. There is some spotting to the front endpapers, however the rest of the pages remain clean and free from inscription.
