A substantial early 20th century cast iron bench by Bayliss Jones & Bayliss, Wolverhampton, c.1900.

Bayliss Jones and Bayliss was founded in Wolverhampton in 1826 manufacturing iron products including sheep hurdles, railing, gates, stable fittings and ornamental ironwork. Today the company practices the same high standard as set out nearly 200 years ago.

This bench boasts a wonderful 'trunk' design to the cast iron with the Bayliss name clearly visible to the arms and a wonderful patina throughout. The bench is extremely heavy and will be standing for many years to come.

A very attractive piece.
