A large early 18th century joined oak dresser of exceptional rich colour and patination, c.1720

The long two plank top has a moulded edge and raised bank of five small drawers, all lined with a later green baize, all beneath a moulded trough top. The frieze houses three drawers with applied edge moulding above shaped apron with a small drawer to the centre. All drawers open and close and close with ease. The dresser stands upon baluster turned legs to the front and stiles to the rear.

There is some light wear commensurate with age, to include evidence of historic woodworm to the back boards and nibbles to the rear legs. Overall the piece remains in an exceptionally good clean condition. The wood throughout has a stunning patina and the whole piece is extremely tactile.

A stunning example.
