A charming 19th century oil on panel depicting two children teaching dogs tricks, with a dog sitting on his hindquarters smoking a pipe. The work is faintly signed 'W, Hemsley' in red to the lower right.
The work is housed in a gilt frame which has some small losses (please see photographs) but remains attractive nonetheless. The work itself remains in a very good clean condition.
