A 19th century oil on tin of medium proportions depicting smoker's in a tavern after David Teniers The Younger (1610-1690).
The work has craquelure predominantly to the lower centre of the work and some minor paint losses but all characters remain clearly identifiable and the work remains very attractive with bold warm colours and lovely composition.
The work is housed in a substantial gilt frame with some losses, most of which have been historically painted over. The most notable loss is a small chip to the top of the frame opening (please see photographs).
