A very attractive late 19th century giltwood and bevelled glass three leaf folding screen, likely French in origin.
The screen has three hinged leaves and 28 individual bevelled glass panels, each set in a giltwood frame above a woven silk panel of oriental design which views the same from both sides.
There are some minor signs of wear commensurate with age to the giltwood such as to the top of the left panel and nibbles to the extremities in places (please see photographs). The glass and fabric panels are in an excellent condition.
The hinges operate with ease and the screen opens and closes as it should. The screen remains stable throughout.
