A charming 19th century folk art carved and painted wooden ram's head with real horns affixed.
The head has been extremely well carved and retains its original paint. It looks that the head was originally covered in wool, with a piece of original wool remaining under the front central screw. The antlers retain their original screw which has loosened meaning the antlers can be moved from side to side, putting them at an odd angles if desired.
The piece is extremely tactile and has a wonderful patina throughout.
