A very attractive late 19th century domed pine trunk, produced by Eagle Lock Co, USA. The Eagle Lock Company, established in 1833 and based in Connecticut, was at one time the largest trunk and cabinet lock maker in the world.
The trunk is extremely well made and is in a very good condition. The trunk sits on its original inset brass castors and boasts a clean floral lined interior. A later inner lid sits within the trunk and is fully removable. The size and condition makes it perfect for use as a linen/blanket storage, or childrens' toy box.
