A complete set of The Waverley Novels by Sir Walter Scott in 48 volumes, published by Adam & Black, Edinburgh in 1877.
The volumes are three quarter bound in a green leather, which has faded to brown at the spines. The spines boast five raised bands, gilt stamped decoration and brown leather gilt stamped title and volume panels. There is shelf wear evident throughout all volumes, predominantly to the extremities but there are also scuffs to the marbled boards.
Top page edge gilt. Spotting to the preliminary and title pages of each volume but generally all other pages remain clean and bright.
