An unusually tall and substantial sterling silver topped cut glass condiment pot, hallmarked for Henry Wigfull, Sheffield, 1880 together with a duty stamp. The hallmarks are rubbed, particularly the maker's mark, but 'HW' is just visible using a jeweller's loupe.
The pot has a cut out to the lid for a spoon and a lovely circular cut glass design which gives a bubble effect. The silver shows some tarnish in places, however the glass remains in an excellent condition and the lid sits well with the hinge operating with ease.
