An early 20th century japanned lacquered chinoiserie decorated cane elbow chair in the Regency taste, c.1910.
The chair remains in a wholly untouched condition with a lovely patina to the chair arms from years of use, and general wear to the lacquer throughout. Ornate decoration depicts oriental scenes and foliate designs. The cane work remains in a very good condition throughout.
A charming piece full of character.
Provenance: Flaxley Abbey, Gloucestershire.
