A very striking Arts & Crafts period beech wood corner chair, c.1900.
The chair has an unusual but extremely attractive back, almost mashrabiya in its design, with a green velvet seat. The whole sits above four turned legs joined by turned stretchers. The chair is of relatively small proportions making it perfect for an awkward space or small forgotten corner.
The chair has some wear commensurate with age, most notably to the rear (please see photographs) but generally the chair remains in a very good condition overall with the velvet upholstery remaining bright and clean.
