A delightful Norwich School late 19th century oil on canvas depicting chickens and roosters in a farmyard eating lettuce. The canvas is stamped 'Broom & Sons, Church Street, Norwich' verso. The work is unsigned.
The work is well executed with a great use of colour and lovely attention to detail. The work itself remains in a very good condition throughout. The work is housed in a period frame with a Dublin label verso. The frame has some small signs of wear commensurate with age and some historic white paint specks to the top edge but generally remains in a good attractive condition.
