A gilt bronze Thai deity mounted upon a wooden plinth. The wooden plinth bears script, the text now barely legible but appears to commemorate a visit to Thailand. The date '4/7/83' remains legible to the lower right.
There is evidence of a very small patch of historic woodworm to the base (please see photographs), but otherwise the piece remains in a very good condition with the bronze having wonderful patination throughout.
