A delightful 19th century bronzed silhouette of good proportions depicting a girl with a hat and blue scarf holding a riding crop or whip.
The colour and gilt detailing is exquisitely done. The subject has been placed to the lower right of centre which gives the piece a great verve; the style and form of this silhouette bears similarities to known Hubard Gallery works (William James Hubard (British, 1807-1862)).
The work has some age tone to the paper but is otherwise in a very good condition. The work is housed in a maple frame which is also in a very good condition throughout.
