This is a scarce copy of 'The Life And Labours In Art and Archaeology Of George Petrie' by William Stokes, published by Longmans, Green & Co. in 1868.
Octavo. Fully bound in calf with blindstamped and gilt decoration to the boards. The spine boasts five raised bands with intricate gilt decoration. All board edges also bear gilt decoration. The boards show scuffing and the extremities show rubbing from general shelf wear, particularly to the spine edges. The boards remain firmly attached.
Marbled page edges and matching endpapers. The pages are in a very good condition. There is some very light spotting to the preliminary pages only. All other pages are clean and bright, free from both inscription and damage.
