This is 'The Constitutional History of England' by Henry Hallam, complete in three volumes. Published by John Murray in 1867.
All three volumes are bound in an Eton School prize binding, boasting navy leather with gilt stamped decoration to the boards, the Eton plate to the front boards, ornate gilt stamping to the board edges and five raised bands to the spine. All volumes show shelf wear to the extremities and some scuffing to the boards (please see photographs).
Internally, all volumes have marbled pastedowns. An Eton award plaque is present to the front pastedown of the first volume. There is some light spotting to the front endpapers of the volumes but otherwise all pages remain clean, bright and free from inscription.
