This is 'Childe Harold's Pilgrimage, A Romaunt: And Other Poems' by Lord Byron, published by Murray, Blackwood, Ballantyne and Cumming in 1812. This is the fourth edition. Two volumes (Canto I and Canto II) are bound into one book.
The boards are beautifully bound in dyed leather with gilt borders to both the boards and spine. The title and author are also stamped to the spine in gilt. The boards show some rubbing to the extremities and the spine shows some cracking. The boards are still firmly attached and are in a very good condition overall.
Marbled endpapers and page edges. Bookplate of Geo. Armytage to the front pastedown. Ink inscription to the front flyleaf. Pull-out letter to the rear of the book remains in a very good condition and firmly attached. All pages are in a very good condition indeed, clean and bright with no damage to any page.
