A very attractive pair of 19th century mahogany pedestal cupboards, both complete with working lock and key.
Each pedestal has a square top with a lobed fore and a panelled door flanked with finely turned columns, all raised upon a shaped plinth. Each pedestal has a working lock and key to its left side (note one lock is a little stiff but does work as it should). Both pedestals open to reveal a shelved interior. Originally part of a larger piece, the pedestals are of good proportions and work beautifully as stand alone pieces, but as a pair they are particularly striking.
Each pedestal has a small amount of wear commensurate with age (to include some minor losses - please see photographs) but remain extremely attractive, being of stunning colour and form.
A unique pair.
