A stunning pair of Edwardian stained walnut side chairs with overstuffed seats in a later neutral geometric design.
The chairs boast shaped walnut crested rails, pierced vertical splats, turned front legs and sabre back legs.
The chairs are structurally sound and stand firm with no difficulties in weight bearing. The support struts to the base of one chair appear to have been repaired at some point (please see photographs); this repair remains effective. The top craved flower decoration to one chair has warped with age (please see photographs).
The upholstery is a later addition and remains in an excellent condition. There are some very faint hints of one or two small marks but these are barely visible.
An extremely attractive set of early 20th century salon chairs that remain in a very good condition and are wholly fit for purpose.
