An exquisite 19th century wrought iron Venetian candle lantern with hand blown stained glass roundels, complete with the original iron hanging pole. When lit, the glass roundels come alive and the intricate wrought iron creates a beautiful pattern both above and below the lantern.
The lantern has a door to the front opened by a latch, which reveals a small platform inside for a candle. The door hinges open and close with ease. Each glass roundel is hand blown and unique in colour and form. One roundel has been historically replaced with a small clear glass lens (please see photographs).
A one-of-a-kind piece of exceptional form and craftsmanship.
