A stunning Regency period Egyptian Revival giltwood mirror, c.1820.
The breakfront cornice is surmounted by gilded spheres above a central ebonised panel with three carved giltwood foliate decorations, flanked either side by a delicately carved sphinx bust atop a fluted column.
There are some small losses in areas, namely a small loss to the left flower in the central panel and another small loss to the inside left corner of the breakfront. The mirror plate and back are later.
The whole piece has a great patina and displays extremely well.
